Our Aegis-managed CATO SASE service includes performance management, incident response, configuration management, and long-term lifecycle management. Depending on the tier, we also provide co-managed SOC support for real-time threat monitoring and response.
What’s the difference between co-managed and fully managed?
In a co-managed model, your internal team retains control over policy decisions, while our team handles day-to-day operations, monitoring, and change management. Fully managed includes shared ownership of both policy and operations, with our SOC team taking an active role in security enforcement and threat response.
Do I still need my own firewall or VPN?
No. With CATO’s SASE platform, networking and security functions, including firewall-as-a-service, secure web gateway, and zero trust network access, are fully integrated into the cloud fabric. You can decommission legacy appliances and save the costs of licensing and support as well as freeing up rack space.
How quickly can we be onboarded?
Typical onboarding takes 3–6 weeks, depending on the number of sites, complexity of current environments, and the selected service tier. We handle configuration, policy migration, and performance tuning as part of the onboarding process. We can also handle circuit orders, physical deployment, and decommissioning of legacy equipment.
Can we keep our existing security tools?
Yes, but most clients consolidate over time. CATO can integrate with your SIEM, IDP, and other tools via APIs and logging. We’ll help you evaluate which components make sense to retain or phase out.
Do you provide 24×7 support?
Yes. All Aegis-managed SASE tiers include access to our 24×7 NOC. The Fully Managed + SOC tier also includes round-the-clock monitoring by our security analysts.
How do I choose the right service tier?
We’ll help you evaluate your internal capabilities, compliance requirements, and operational goals to select the right balance of control and managed support. Most clients start with the Co-Managed tier and scale into Full Managed + SOC as needs grow.
Can I make changes myself, or is it fully managed?
Your choice! Aegis is typically delivered as a co-managed service where we work from a custom playbook co-developed with you. However, if you want us to take complete ownership of the SASE stack for you we are happy to do so.
